Milan Restaurant - 1 night in Milan, Italy
 

We are spending one night in Milan and staying near the Duomo at Hotel Spadari al Duomo. Can you recommend a restaurant? We are looking for something charming and delicious. I doesn't need to by fancy (but should have good wine!). Would love to go somewhere that locals would enjoy visiting for a great meal.

Any thoughts??

Hello LCPFP, here is a restaurant near the Duomo which we were first introduced to by Italians friends in Milan back in the 70's. It has always been a favorite of mine. So for your consideration..

I used the article that ekscrunchy gave you a link to for when I went to Milan. I really loved Antica Trattoria della Pesa. It's a little bit of a cab ride from the hotel. (I stayed at Hotel Spadari, also. Loved it. Great hotel.) If you are looking for something closer to the hotel, Trattoria Milanese is w/in walking distance. Be sure to go to Peck's, if only to look around. On the corner is the Cafe Spadari, a good stop for morning cappuccino and corneti.
