Milan MXP Layover Info (Luggage Check & Security)
 

Hi,
Anyone know where the luggage check is at MXP and how big it is? If I have a 8 hour layover in Milan, will I have sufficient time to check in our carry-on luggage, go through security and see one or two things?

MXP is 30 miles west of Milan. The bus takes about an hour and leaves every :30. There is also a train that runs that may be faster. Your call !

There's a baggage storage facility on the ground floor in arrivals area B. The cost is € 3,50 to € 4,00 per bag per day. The facility is open from 6:00 am to 10 pm daily.

I would not take the bus to the train station. Take the Metro into the city center. I'ts fast, cheap and easy.

Milan has an express train that connects Cadorna Station in the city center with Malpensa Airport’s Terminal 1 called, cleverly, the Malpensa Express. It’s about a 40-minute trip from end to end with a few intermediate stops along the way, and trains leave Malpensa every half hour - at 23 minutes past the hour and 53 minutes past the hour - round the clock, 7 days a week.

Tickets for the Malpensa Express are €11 for a one-way trip, and don’t forget to validate your ticket before you climb on board the train. There are ticket kiosks and ticket machines.
