Milan, Italy
I am looking for hotel in Milan for Sept 15 for 3 nights. It is 2 people and we are looking to spend approx. $100 a night? Prefer walking distance or subway stop location to Milan attractions (fashion, monuments, etc).

Not sure if Milan is on here but try www.eurocheapo.com

I stayed at the Speronari when I was there. Spare, but adequate and well-located.
No website still that I know about. Via Speronari 4; tel. 02/86-46-11-25, Fax 02/72-00-31-78 It's listed on frommers.com, among other places. |
For what it's worth, if you're going to Italy as tourists and can't afford Armani, I wouldn't give 3 nights to Milan. There is so much more to see elsewhere!

Would the only way to book the Hotel Speronari be by fax?
thanks Shona |
I just returned from Italy, spent the last 3 nights in Milan at the Andreola Central (near Milano Centrale train station). It was much cheaper through Venere.com. Good hotel, location ok. We stayed in Milan because our flight was leaving out of there early, did a wonderful day trip to Lake Como (Bellagio, Varenna, and Mennagio, but I day in Milan would have been more than enough. Would have done another day trip but there was a general strike on one of the days were we there, so trains were not running, and lots of other options were not possible.

Hi
My wife and I went to Milan in June last year. We stayed at the Hotel Marconi located at Via F. Filzi number 3 (near Repubblica Metro station). It was easy to get there...we took the Malpensa Express to reach Stazione Centrale and from there we just walked to the hotel. I have posted more info about the hotel in my trip report which I have posted on my personal homepage gardkarlsen.com :-D Maybe you can find some useful info there. Regards Gard Stavanger, Norway |
