milan express train question

Hi.

How long will it take to get from Malpensa to the Milano Centrale? I want to book a train to Florence, but want to give us enough time to get through customs and get the express train and everything. Thanks!

50 minutes. The white Malpensa Shuttle bus leaves outside the baggage claim/exit level every hour and delivers you to Milano Centrale station. After Customs, baggage, etc, plus shuttle into Milano, I would allow at least 1.5 hours, even 2 if you still will need to buy your train tix to Florence upon arrival at the station.

The Malpensa Express train does NOT go to Milano Centrale station, it goes to Cadorna station, about 10-15 minutes by taxi from Milano Centrale. (You can also take a tram or subway.) As noted above, the bus may be the best choice if you want to go to Milano Centrale from the airport.

Website for Milan airport is http://www.sea-aeroportimilano.it/eng/ (English version) It will describe all the transport option.

Hello... I was wondering if there is any luggage storage at the Cadorna station? I'll be flying into Milan myself very soon and want to see a few sights there before training on to Venice. Thanks!

Idnas - If your onward journey is to Venice it would be best to use the left luggage store at Milano Centrale IMO

Hope this helps ...

I agree with Steve; don't bother with Cadorna as it is simply a blip along the way.

Thanks for the info about Cadorna. I kinda figured that I would be better off going to Centrale for luggage storage, but thought I'd ask anyway. I thought if Cadorna is a transportation destination from the airport that it might be possible. Thanks again!

Idnas - Just a footnote in case you don't know ...

There's a direct shuttle bus from Malpensa to Milano Centrale.
(This is more convenient than train, which involves a change at Cadorna ...)

How much does the shuttle cost?
Thanks,
jaem

4,60 euros per person (each way) and you can buy the ticket directly at the shuttle bus, before boarding.
