Milan airports: LIN or MXP?

I'm booking a trip to Milan for early April, using airmiles. I have the option of using either Linate or Malpensa airports, both of which serve that city. Does anyone know which airport offers better and more economical access into the center of Milan?

Thanks in advance.

LIN is very close to city center, while MXP is outside of the city. There is train and bus service from MXP. We took a taxi to LIN. I would think you'd have more choices flying in to MXP, the larger of the two.

MXP is 30 miles out of town---LIN is close to town.

If Linate works for you, definitely select it. It's a very easy sleepy airport close to the city, primarily used for domestic flights in Italy.

Thanks all for your responses. Linate does seem like the better bet. BA has fairly regular flights into this airport from London, and one of them suited my itinerary very well.
