Milan Airport to Cinque Terre
Flying in to MXP (Milan Airport) and would like to spend 1 night in Milan. In the morning go by train or bus to the Cinque Terre area and spend at least 3 nights there. Hotel suggestions (no more than$100/night) and advice on the trip from Milan to Cinque Terre would be greatly appreciated .

I don't have a hotel to recommend but you should find somewhere close to the train station. You can take a bus from MXP to the train station. You'll take a train from Milan to Genoa and then catch a "locale" (local train - stops more often) to the one of the 5 Cinque Terre towns you choose. Have you decided yet which you prefer to make your base?

aaa999, are you now posting as MikeVee?
For those of you who don't know aaa999 has been totally out of line on a post he/she started. Here's the post:-

Things do get ugly on that thread.
Take a look at this post started by aaa999, and MikeVee a newbie responds and thanks people for their help. Could aaa999 be MikeVee? aaa999, sorry but I had sometime, or rather waaaaaaaaaaay too much time on my hands between manicures, pedicures and a hair appointments. Therefore, I have the time to respond to your posts. lol.

Few years ago we spent 8 days in Manarola,we rented a large two bedrooms apartment with a balcony facing the village Main street , just loved it.
Many people especially the Young, prefers Vernazza which is more touristy and of course much noiser also, but Manarola at night is a dream, very quite.

Mike, we stayed in Vernazza, which is probably the most popular of the 5. We waited until we got there and rented a room from one of the store owners in town (in our case, the gelato store). The Cinque Terre towns are very up and down so you may want to research the 5 and see which fits your style best.
