Agreed - definitely don't bring an electric blanket with you. Using a converter under your watchful eye as you dry your hair is one thing. Relying on a cheapo converter device to keep you safe as you sleep under the electric blanket is a whole different story. That is a sure fire recipe for disaster.

This might have already been posted but do they have a battery operated charger like they have for cell phones? That way you can just bring some AA batteries along with you and a small charger.
