Mid-March in Rome is great. We also love Paris and Venice in March. It could be a beautiful weather averywhere or could rain too. Paris, Rome and Venice look so romantic during the rain. I hope you are a big girl Juliet and are able to decide for yourself

I'll get accused of thinking that this question is a "nail" since I walk around with a "hammer" in my hand.

Sounds like it could be the seed of an idea for a(nother) Fodorites' trip.

Or not.

Best wishes,

Rex Bickers
www.rexbickers.italy.com
We were in Italy march 15-25, '01. Started in Venice. It was cool, 50's and 1 day it rained (although venice is very charming in the rain). Then headed south. Weather was beautiful. Sunny everyday. In rome it was 70s and on last day went into 80s'. The year before we did paris and amsterdam. Cooler and also a little rain. I think the weather is iffy just about anywhere that time of the year but the more south you go, it might be a little warmer. March '02 we're doing southern spain and madrid. It's a nice time to travel. not overly crowded (but still plenty of people).

Thanks for the replies but I dont quite understand rex' references & Julie's hope that I am a big girl. Is it the heat?
