Michelin Map, TCI Map or Both for Tuscany?

I've read through many posts and what I've been able to determine is that the Michelin Map is best for highway and the TCI is better for details (country driving I assume).

We will be taking the train from Rome, picking up a rental car in Florence, and will have fairly detailed directions to the villa in San Gimignano. We'll be doing alot of hill town driving, with a side-trip to Venice (unless I can talk them out of it before then), we'll also be hitting Pisa.

Which map (or both) will be of more use to us?

Thanks so much for your thoughts!

Frankly, both.
The Michelin 563 and the TCI Toscana maps will do the job.
Run viamichelin for your Venice routing--the 563 stops about Bologna.

Thanks Bob! That's the direction I was leaning in!

The TCI was the better map, in my opinion. Lots more detail. ((b))

Thanks Budman!

Thanks again to Bob & Budman. Ordered the TCI map from trektools.com (I think!) on Monday, received it today. All I can say is Holy Maps Batman!!

I'm anxious to start planning and plotting! Will probably order the Michelin one as well!
