michelin map crisis for the south of france
Hi all-
I was supposed to receive maps #113, 114, 324 and 329 from Amazon and they have just contacted me to say that they can't get them to me until July! We leave for our trip Wednesday. I've been looking all over New York and find the ones I need. Any suggestions for places in NYC? I'm hoping it will be fairly easy to find what I need once we're o ver there but I was hoping to have them ahead of time to map out where we'll be driving. thanks...

henry, this is a wonderful travel bookstore I use in my town. They will mail out to you the maps if in stock.

Barnes and has 113 and 114 with same day delivery in Manhattan. They dont appear to have 324 and 329.

Travelnut May 15th, 2005 08:13 AM has them all. has only the last two (324, 329)

If you're stopping in Paris first, you can probably find what you need in the many book stores in the Latin Qtr area...
there is also an address for Michelin but it might be the publisher and not a store:
46 av Breteuil 75007 Paris

Try The Complete Traveler Bokstore-199 Madison Ave or Rand McNally 150 E 52nd St

Usually a good travelbookstore is the best bet for maps in the US, I've found. It probably will be easy once you get there -- Michelin is so ubiquitous in France, they sell tons of Michelin maps in various boutiques in the CDG airport.

Here's a very good one.

Underhill, I checked there and they're out of stock.
