Michelin Green Guides - Publishing Dates?
 

Hi,

I am anxious to get the GG for Provence, but I want to be sure to get the latest one (for my trip in September). The latest one I find (on amazon) was published in February 2006, so can I expect to see a new one by the end of the month/March?

The type of info in the green guides rarely is time sensitive In my experience. There is very little real data except for opening times in the back. Ones you buy in France at bookstores are often a year or two old. So can't see it matters a sous with green guides, though red guides are another matter.

They are not published every year, so the 2006 will be the latest.

I would always try to get the latest one, of course, but a year-old one wouldn't bother me. Some information in it can change with time, if they do major renovations or changes to museums (where the collections are and what wings are open, etc) or other sites. Also, sometimes new sites will open that didn't even exist before, such as a new museum.
