Metro or Taxi from Airport in Athens?

I am going to be staying at the President Hotel in Athens located on Kifissias Street and want to take the Metro from Venizelos airport. Does anyone know what the coast is for Metro and how long it is from this hotel? What do the Taxi drivers usually charge from airport? Thanks for your help!

The nearest metro station is ''PANORMOU''if you do not have heavy luggage it is a 10 min walk to the hotel(pleasant shopping area),otherwise take a taxi+- 25/30 euros.

I took the metro in December, and its very pleasant, clean and couldn't be more convenient -- leaves every 30 minutes or so. I don't recall the price, but its very reasonable.

I add another question: from Airport to ferry station (Pireaus port) how long is the trip with public transports? Grazie, arrivederci.

The airport express bus to Piraeus takes about 1.25 hours.

The new rail line from the airport to Piraeus is now operating but no passengers allowed yet. It is being run only to test at the moment.
