Menton Hotel

We're booked at Le Grimaldi but we might prefer a smaller town. Would like hotel rec for Menton.

The hotel Aiglon or hotel Chambord are in the deluxe category; a more economical place is Hotel Londres only about a block from the beach promenade. I tried this post once already and had a problem; if this is a duplicate, please excuse it.

Is L'Aiglon right in the city of Menton or on the outskirts? (We will be traveling by train; won't have a car).

L'Aiglon is in the city centre. Don't know how far from the train station. They have a shuttlebus.
