My absolute best was a young man who posed as the Mona Lisa outside the Musee d' Orsay several years ago. Remarkable!! He was made up in costume and would position himself behind a picture frame--looked eerily like the original!

I live in Dallas (a driving city) and only use public transportation when in Europe (which means, I rarely use public transportation). I have such a distinct memory of hearing my first hammered dulcimer player in the Paris Metro tunnels...it seemed magical to me!
