Meeting London Computer Geeks

Hello, I'm a NYC-based computer geek, and I'm looking to meet London-based computer geeks. I'm going to be in London March 17th through the 24th. While I am there, I would love to chat with some locals over pints, because I am considering relocating to London. Does anyone know a good place to meet fellow techies? I'm reaching out for help, because, needless to say, computer geeks lack a lot of basic social skills.

Thanks,
Michael-NYC

Don't they all converse only in Cyberspace? But I suspect that Sys Admins all belong to a secret society which holds regular underground meetings... ;-)

I wonder whether a question on a use group (e.g. uk.local.london) might find some techies?

March 17th is St Patrick's Day, of course, so Irish pubs in London will be full of sociable people. Nothing to do with computers, but it's a start - most people know a techie, and will even admit to it after a few pints!

Ruth,
Yeah, you're right, conversing in Cyberspace is the preferred form of techie communication. I would like to soak up some culture while I'm there, and there's nothing better than sharing a drink with a local for that. Thanks for the uk.local.london tip!

Irish,
Of course! St. Patrick's day! What was I thinking. That pubs will be packed.
