Meet up point at Paris Airport Charles De Gaulle (CDG)?

Can anyone suggest a good meet up point in CDG? Here is the deal, my wife and I are going to Paris. I got enough air miles to buy 1 ticket to CDG, then purchased a separate ticket which is a different flight but arrives 15 mins within the time of the one I got via airmiles. My question is, where can we meet up when the planes land in CDG? Can/should we meet before customs near the gate? At the luggage carousels? Or somewhere else? Please help! Thank you.

Are you flying on the same airline, coming into the same terminal?

It is difficult to answer without knowing the airlines/cities of origin in question. It would also help to know your planned method of transportation into the city.

Hello,
We are both coming from Newark. One flight is via Northwestern from EWR to Minneapolis then to CDG, the other is Continental EWR to CDG. We are hoping to simply take a cab into the city to our hotel.
Thanks!

If you are both landing at the same terminal, you could meet at the carousel of the second flight.

NW uses 2E, CO uses 2A. You guys can walk towards each other and meet at 2C or the Sheraton.

I believe there is a unique Meeting Point in Terminal 2. It is indicated by a symbol having four arrows pointing to the center of the sign.

Ok thanks guys! Sounds like the carousels is an ideal spot - are the carousels for both flights in the same area?

Actually this is a very good question and one I with which I struggle as well. I will need to go find my family who arrive at 0700 on a Saturday, I assume the Metro/RER will be running, and does anyone know where US airways carousel is?
Thanks RosieCaro

jbassman - Definitely NOT! 2A and 2E are separate terminals.

rosiecaro - USAirways use CDG Terminal 1.

There is a cafe in Terminal 2 - one escalator down from arrivals - in the TGV train ticketing area - that we always use for a meeting place for our business travellers. Easy to find since you just follow the signs for the train & it is down the escalator & off to the left in the corner as you exit the escalator.

Thank you all for your help. As Ian suggested, I am now thinking a cafe or bar would be better in terminal 2E since that is where my wife will be. I am looking at the map http://www.aeroportsdeparis.fr/ADP/R...GPversoV23.pdf
but cannot tell which cafe/bar are outside of the gate areas (I assume I cannot get to the ones by the gates without a ticket) or are there none?

In the middle of the terminal building on your map - marked Relay & Casino - these are two different chains. That is on the main floor level in a large busy open area.

In addition, if you go down one level toward the trains, you get to the enclosed cafe mentioned in my post above.

If you don't use Ian's advice (good I might add), there is a cafe select, in the public area in 2A.
