Medieval Banquet- Ireland

Making plans for our Ireland trip.
Which Banquet is better? Dunguaire Castle's Medieval Banquet or the Bunratty Medieval Banquet. Consider music, food, and players

Very different. Food either place nothing to write home about. Bunratty very musical; Dunguaire more about the local area. Seating at Bunratty is butt to butt on benches and very packed. Dunguaire to be honest I don't remember the seating arrangement (there in '97)but we were not sardined.
Given those two choices I would choose Dunguaire if distance were not a factor. My favorite is the Irish Night in the Corn Barn at Bunratty Folk Park.

I found Dunguaire better and a bit less touristy if that is possible in this context... it's more low key / cultural than Bunratty. Both will be fun though.

Rather have a night in Kinvara than Bunratty.. My opinion of Bunratty is that it's fine if you are having the banquet the last night before an early departure..

Thats the Locations.. the Banquets.. as said Bunratty is busier and sold out to tour bus's.. Dunguaire is less Medieval more Folk and quieter/more intimate.. check the Shannon Heritage web site for preview vids for all their offerings..

when are you thinking of being over here?
