I would rather not visit the U.S. with my dad because the medical fees are outrages. I am looking at Europe.I was also thinking of a cruise to Bermuda maybe.I will check with Seven corners if you think it is reliable. We did have to cancel two weeks before a trip three years ago, and had no issues with Blue Cross.Now that he is 81 and was at the hospital in October the last time,I don't want to take any chances.

You could also check to see if Canada had an reciprocal health care arrangements with countries - and what the agreement covers . Eg Australia has reciprocal health cover with UK and Italy amongst other countries .
Over 80 and pre existing will certainly add to your insurance costs .

UK doesn't have reciprocal agreements with Canada.

I would say none for Canada, UK would be the most likely suspect. But your province may cover some things, you need to ask them as health insurance is provincial, not national, in Canada. Here is coverage for Ontario
