McDonald's chips not suitable for vegetarians...
Did you know that? No, I didn't either! You learn something new every day...
chips?? are we talking potatoe. buffalo or cow chips here. it probably does not make a difference if you eat it at mickeyds's
You probably aren't a TRUE vegetarian if you eat at McDonald's, the whole place smells like MEAT! <BR>QUIT WHINING!
Are you talking about french fries? <BR> <BR>They stopped frying them in animal lard years ago.
For this and other horrors have a look at the McSpotlight website at http://www.mcspotlight.org/
When I heard this report I couldn't believe that there were vegetarians who actually thought that fries were a reasonable option! If you didn't know they were flavored with beef, perhaps you also hadn't noticed that they have a high sodium and fat content as well.

Believe half of what you see, none of what you hear. Quote from BusinessWeek about investing, but is pertinent to other areas of life as well: <BR> <BR>"The Web swiftly brings to your fingertips all kinds of real-time information. Unfortunately, not all of it is real accurate. The more you use the Web to research investments, the more you'll find yourself double-checking data. You have to watch out for even such simple facts as market capitalization. Check, for example, the market cap of telecom giant Telefonos de Mexico and you might ``learn'' that it's the world's most valuable company. By miscounting its number of shares outstanding, America Online gives the company a $510 billion market cap--more even than actual No. 1 General Electric's $490 billion." <BR> <BR>I'm not sure that a website put together by volunteers will have the most accurate information about a major corporation.

Actually McDonalds admits that their fries are seasoned with beef flavorings. Yes they did switch to vegtable oil to fry the seasoned fries in.
Read Eric Schlosser's book "Fast Food Nation." In it,he discusses McDonald's fries. They used to be fried in vegetable oil and beef tallow. Now they are fried in vegetable oil that is flavored with a compound synthesized especially for McD's by a manufacturer of flavoring agents for processed foods, located in New Jersey. They taste like beef tallow, but it's a synthetic flavoring.

Do we really need all this information?
World-wide, their bathrooms are always available, reasonably clean, and almost always nearby. I hope they don't change their fries, either.

Guess I'll go out and get a big ole bucket o Ribs. wash it down with lotsa cold beer. <BR> <BR>Anyone want to join me? Shssshh, I want tell anyone if you have a good ole rib.
