May or June in France?
My son and I are plannng a trip to Paris/Cannes/Normandy. We are flexible except that we wish to be in Normandy for June 6; that is, most of our travel can be mid-May or after June 6. In which month are we likely to encounter better weather? We don't mind hot and sunny.

June is better, in my opinion, at least based on a recent trip. We were in Paris from May 22 to June 1 and several days were cloudy with intermittent rain and temps in the 50s. There were also some sunny days with temps in the 60s and mid-70s, but you're more likely to get that in June.

Hi

It is all relative. If you live in Finland .......... Paris always seems warm !

Check weather history here -

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/weather/historical/historical.htm

Peter
http://tlp.netfirms.com/

As for the South of France, We had 33C (92F) for a few days at the end of April this year.

I say June would be better than May. You can still get cold temperatures in May.

mpprh! ;o) Not really (I mean the bit about Finland). Like this summer. It has been bright sunshine and +20°C-+27°C ever since the beginning of May. With the exception of 10 days right after midsummer and a week in May. Right now it is +27°C ;o)

Linda, June is better at least in Normandy.

I think June is better. Kay
