Just for the record, and even if for some reason I am unable to attend, the standard meeting point for the Parc de la Villette for people getting together is the lion fountain at Porte de Pantin. Impossible to miss or get lost when taking the metro to Porte de Pantin.

I just bought a ticket to the ballet for Friday evening May 26, so that night is now out for me.
However I am still interested in either a lunch or dinner picnic or even just a meet for a glass of wine.

I haven't really had anything to add, it sounds like you all picked the day I leave, so I was leaving it up to everyone else to figure it out.

There is no day that poses a problem for me, since I don't really have to plan most things ahead of time. In any case, a picnic could only be confirmed bout 3 days ahead of time depending on the weather forecast. (But obviously there are restaurants everywhere if the weather poops out, including some quite fine ones facing the Parc de la Villette.)

In late May, the sun will be shining until almost 10 p.m.

Actually for me it is only possible on may 23rd.
24 is 'hemelvaart' - Ascension in French I think or is it Asomption, I'm always confused, so holiday meaning I'm home.

Is 23 ok for everyone ?

Sorry , I will not be in Paris on the 23rd. I arrive the afternoon of the 24th.

Still open for the following dates, May 25, 27, 28, 29 and 30.
If possible I would like to firm something up so I can make some plans for these nights.

I think all of the fun has drained out of this idea. Count me out.
