Hello - I will won't be WITH you in Italy in May, but I will be NEAR you - spending a week in Malta (as well as about 5 days in London and 4 days in Tunisia.) The entire Med. basin should be pretty sunny that time of year.

My husband, myself and two teenage sons will be heading to Italy on May 23. We'll spend 4 days in Rome, two days in Florence and 3 days in Vencie. Plan to train between cities. We are all extremely excited and hope that the world situation does not force us to reconsider. And, I agree with you, the postings on this board have been extremely helpful in making hotel reservations and planning our itenerary.

Hello! We are beginning our 3-week trip in Rome on May 3. We have a busy trip planned, but hopefully a balance of cities and small towns. Rome - Tuscany (Siena) - Florence - CT - Nice - Lyon - Beaune - Paris - Amsterdam and finally a weekend in NYC before coming back to Chicago.

I can't wait - looking forward to tasting a lot of vino! Just bought a pair of Dansko shoes today for the trip.

Hello from equally sunny California. We are heading off May14th for 4 nights Rome, 2 nights Venice and 3 nights Florence. Also taking trains between places. I am already committed to going on this trip regardless of the war situation. I am hooked on this site as well. Very informative!!

It's been a very cold, snowy winter in Connecticut, and we are heading to the Italian Riviera and the Cinque Terre on May 3rd, flying out of New York. It's our 2nd trip to Italy, and although we are a bit apprehensive, our plans remain firm. I'm trying to learn the Italian language with a teaching CD, and listening to Andrea Bocelli CDs.

La Dolce Vita!

Paris, Avignon, Luzern, Strasbourg, Reims, and Paris again at the end of May, beginning of June.

We have never been to Strasbourg or Reims. The rest of the trip is a return to old favorites. I already regret that we don't have more time in Paris... and Avignon.

My wife and I are spending a week in London and SW England, with a side one day trip to Paris on the Eurostar (the day of our 20th wedding anniversary). Yeah, I've read all the critism of a one day trip to Paris, but c'mon - be a little romantic. Anyway, we love the pace. We hope you all have a great trip no matter where you go

Going to Paris and the Loire Valley May 1, returning May 15. Have been greatly looking forward to this trip, so hope nothing happens in the meantime to prevent it. Don't agree with the French actions on Iraq, but just won't let that bother me (not enough to cancel trip, anyway!)

Hello from sunny Ft. Myers! May 5, we are going to Nice for 5 nights, then train to Santa margherita ligure for 4 nights, 3 nights Bellagio, then 3 nights Stresa, one night in Milan. I am trying to finagle a 3 night stay in Paris on the return trip, but my husband is NOT co-operating....bummer! I_am_kane: maybe we will cross paths. Are you flying into Nice or Milan? Judy
