May 1st in Positano and area

Hello all......

More help needed with my Italy trip..... I just realized that we will be in Positano on May 1st, a national holiday. and then Rome on a Sunday......

Are the shops and restaurants open on the Amalfi Coast on holidays?

Are the shops and restaurants and "attractions" open on Sundays in Rome?

Thanks

Since Positano is a tourist town, most, if not all, of the shops will be open on May 1.

Some restaurants and sights are closed on Sundays in Rome, it just depends on what you want to see. Once you figure out your schedule, double-check that the things you want to see/eat on Sunday are actually open.

All attractions in Rome should be open on Sundays and rather minor holidays like Labor Day. You may see some protests or parades of workers in Rome.
