MasterCard vs Euro/MasterCard in Germany
Hi. Hubby and I are taking our first trip to Europe in May, doing multiple cities in Germany + Prague. I've started booking hotels online and see that many identify MasterCard as "Euro/MasterCard". Having trouble finding anything about that on US banking sites, including MC. Can someone please confirm if this is a different (european issued) MasterCard and whether a MC issued by a US bank is generally accepted? Should we get another card since our MC is not Euro based? Thanks in advance.

You do not need anything other than the Mastercard you already have.
I've never had any trouble using mine on numerous trips.
What I would do is call your CC issuer and let them know when you are traveling.

Eurocard has always been part of Mastercard stable but continental European banks that issued it preferred to keep its own identity. While most Eurocards have been rebranded as Mastercard, I believe there are still a few issuers who retain the word Eurocard, so service establishments display 'Euro/Mastercard' to indicate acceptability.

Eurocard is just the name of Mastercard in europe. You don;t need to do anything - the card you have is fine. But - Visa is perhaps slightly more widely accepted.
And I wold definitely take more than one card with you. We usually take 2 each and different ones - each an AmEx and one a Visa and one an MC, as well as different ATM cards.
