Markets in Netherlands and/or Brugge

Can anyone recommend street markets in Amsterdam, Brugge, or in towns that might be a good day trip from Amsterdam? (Please include the market day if you remember it.) We are visiting the third week of April and particularly enjoy flea or antiques markets. Thanks.

Alkmaar - Fridays Apr-Sept - though famous for its old-world cheese market this day the whole town turns into a street market as well.

In Amsterdam the Albert Cuyp Straat market is very famous - but has generally low-end stuff appealing to an increasingly ethnic crowd - colorful for sure.

I recommend the DapperStraat (sp?) market in the east side of town near the Muiderpoort train station for being a real nice street market.

There are markets all over Amsterdam on some days as well.

The Amsterdam Flea Market at Waterlooplein sells mainly clothes and not the usual bric-a-brac you seem to want to see.

Liege, Belgium is famous for its flea market. I believe it is on Sunday. I have never been, but it supposedly goes on forever.

Forgot to mention the market in the Place Sablon in Brussels, on Saturdays and Sundays, comes highly recommended. All of these are way up on my list to someday explore...

If you can visit the last week instead of the third week in April, the whole of Amsterdam transforms into a street market and party for Queen's day on April 30.

2nd tulips on Queen's Day - the biggest flea market i've ever seen - anyone can chalk out a spot on sidewalks all over the city the night before and then sell practically anything they want - this is the tradition and the whole city is mobbed that day. Very extraordinary experience.
