Market in Haarlem

Does anyone know when the market in Haarlem is open? Is it similar to the markets in France?

We went to a market in Haarlem on a Saturday - similar to those in France... produce, flowers, merchandise, etc... It is held in the town square, about a 15-minute walk from the train station.

That square is called - Grote markt -, city centre.
Also on Monday afternoon there is a market.

Is the market on Monday afternoon the same as Saturday or is it only clothing?

Hey,

I dont know exactly what time the market on 'de grote markt' is, but I do have a recommendation. Have a fresh stroopwafel. It's a dutch cookie, sold on that market (and most markets in Holland) and I've never met a tourist that didn't automatically fell in love with em. Just write the word down and ask someone about it on the market, they will know where to get em!

According to the Dutch markets website there are 60 stalls on a Monday and 40 on a Saturday. Presumably it's even more general then. I can't remember which day it was that I bought some tiles there with old Dutch prints of illustrated proverbs on, for next to nothing.

But you can check for yourself what it's like on this webcam:

For all markets in Haarlem (if you can work out the Dutch):
