Hey Calamari! Just back from NY a few days ago. I saw another post from you and wondered when you were leaving for Italy. I hope you and your family have a wonderful, relaxing, carefree trip. Stay in touch if you can, and we all look forward to hearing about your trip when you return. Buon viaggio, cara!

I just had to come back for two such sweet and lovely ladies.

Fate has dealt me a terrible blow and robbed me of all joy and laughter. My recovery has been long and slow, but at least I can type now with one finger.

Too weak and must close for now. But please know your kind words brought a big smile to my homely face.

Keep safe, travel often and live well.

Degas, where the hell have you been? Or should I say who the hell have you been?

Joy and laughter may be found here on this board, along with most of the other emotions. Do come back.

Degas - I am so beyond touched that you resurfaced on our account. You have been so very missed by all of your fans and dare I say friends. I am saddend to the core to learn that you have not been well. I feared as such. Illness and loss have touched me as well and I must risk it to say that I have found great solace in a simple book called the Jabez Prayer. It has worked miracles for us. Degas, I wish I could bring you some Zuppa de Verdura and a nice bottle of Grappa to ease you onto the road to recovery. You have made me laugh out loud with your colourful trip reports when almost everything else made me cry. May only blissful happiness be in your future. I will salute you at Harry's Bar in Venice in only a few days from now and of course our other dear friend Mr. Haines. You are so dear. Take care of your lovely self. Prayers of health and renewed splendor for you our dear Degas!

How I missed this, I do not know, but I also must send my heartfelt wishes for a speedy recovery to our Dear Degas!
These boards are definitely not the same without you, nor are we. Friends hold each other up when we are feeling weak or low- never think that you have been robbed of all of your joy. It is there, you just have to look for it!

Degas ill?? I had no idea. Forsooth (or for tooth-whichever) And here I thought he was busy at Gigolo school. And what's this about Sir Ben Haines??

Degas is not ill.He is going to a special school that teach him the refine art of how to be a great Gigolo..

Darlin Degas was not feeling well for a little while, but he has rebounded with Gusto!
And some of us are very happy about that :)
