Marbella to Granada

I will be in Marbella in May and was considering driving to Granada, rather than do agroup trip. I realize it is about a 2 hour drive and I hate driving!!!! Is it an easy drive or easy to get lost along the way? I would appreciate your advice- many thanks- SF

Another alternative would be to take a public bus. Marbella Bus Station there are four no direct buses and three direct buses every day.

http://www.ctsa-portillo.com/ima/pdf/marbella.pdf has a schedule.

It's an easy drive. Freeways the whole inland route. Or a combo of freeways & interesting coastal road the 'long' way.

It is very easy, but it'll be over 2hrs, I'd say 2'30.

Thanks for your help- I've decided to drive!!! Any thoughts on the best day of the week to visit? Is Sun any busier than a weekday? Mo

I can't help you on day. It's probably zoo'd every day.

btw you'll love the oleanders planted in the freeway median. Why don't you get there via the freeway & return via the road south (thru mountains but no passes), then head east on the coast road. It goes through a small town or 2 before it opens up again to freeway around Nerja for the final blast. It's a beautiful drive & it shouldn't be hard to navigate.
