Mapping Trip Website?

Question! I was playing around with a website a few months ago where you could mark your hotel and route your trip to the sites/attractions you wanted to see to and from your hotel. Even places to eat for each day of your trip. Anyone know the website? It is not tripit.com.

I saw one similar to this on www.slowtrav.com so you could check on there.

Good luck

I think Slowtrav uses GoogleMaps, which anyone can use.

I don't think this is it but I've enjoyed walkit.com with its London app; it gives routes and distances and times based on 3 paces of walking. And I found it to be a little more up to date or accurate for the walking routes than googlemaps' walking option. But I never tried doing exactly what you describe. Fun mapping site, though.

I think the one you are referring to is tripomatic.com

You may also like to check out dcovery.com It isn't up and running yet but you can pre-register. The beta version is expected to be available at the end of this month.

You're welcome Hearts1003. It is a great website. I also use Evernote for trip planning. I love using tools that I can use both in the planning phase and actually 'on the ground' with my smartphone. There are some great itineraries for Paris that people have put together on Google maps and kindly shared.

Femme you are just so helpful! Please feel free to share all you'd like to share. :)

FemmeFrancophile...

There are some great itineraries for Paris that people have put together on Google maps and kindly shared.

How do you get to the itineraries for Paris that are shared on Google maps? I'm having trouble finding them. Thanks.

I have limited computer access until the middle of next week. I will post them then. Sorry for the delay.
