Map of Rome

I will be walking my way around Rome, can anyone recommend where I can get a good map on the web?

Thanks so much!

We really liked the streetwise map. It is laminated so it is sturdy, does not rip, and it fits nicely in your purse/bag.

It is not very big so I was afraid maybe all the streets wouldn't be on it. So before we left I bought a bigger map of Rome, just in case. Never used the bigger map. The streetwise map had every little street, alley, etc. You can get it on the internet or at Barnes & Noble/Borders, etc. or a travel store.

I second that. We also used the Streetwise Map on our last visit and found it to be perfect. We liked that it folded perfectly and fit in my bag and that it was laminated so by the end of the week it was not all creased and fading as regular maps can do.

I just checked and Amazon.com has it for $7.95.

I'm a fan of Pop Out Maps. I've used them in Madrid and Lisbon, and plan to in Rome next month.

Features: compact size (can easily fit into a pocket), laminated outer covers, points of interest, and city metro system map.

We bought a DK Rome Map which is laminated and is a little bigger than the streetwise map but also is very good. But the map we used most there was the free one provided by the hotel and it was really good. If you don't hit rainy day in Rome, the free map is very sufficient.
