"Mandatory Passenger Information"
 

We are traveling on Wednesday, 31 October from CDG to ORD (via CPH) on SAS. I am trying to select seats (we've been upgraded to business class "Z" seats). I cannot get seats but that is the least of what worries e. I keep getting a pop-up say:

In order to travel to/from USA the US authorities require passenger information and address for first night in the USA:

First, Middle and Last names (as written in passport), Date of Birth and Gender must be entered as soon as possible or at the latest 72 hours prior to departure. For reservation made within 72 hours before departure, the information must be entered at time of reservation. If you have received a Redress Number from the US authorities it should also be provided. Address for first night accommodation in the USA must be provided latest at check-in.

Please note, passengers with reservations missing this information may be denied to board the aircraft. It is the passengers responsibility to provide the information to SAS in due time.

I cannot get the window to open to do this, I keep getting an error message.

I have tried calling SAS, but with the weather issues, can't get a person on the phone.

I am not sure this info is needed for US Citizens. I am also sure that I provided our passport #s when we made reservations and when we flew over last month.

I am in a slight panic, since we are less than the 72 hours mentioned from departure.

Anyone have insights? I did call SAS and leave a message; also tried emailing.

If you are a US citizen you do not need ESTA registration.

You should be able to check in online normally without needing to go through ESTA - they have your US passport details I assume?

https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/esta/ is the ESTA website - maybe you can find help there?

It sounds like you are being logged on to the European website, so it's assuming you're European. Try this site: http://www.flysas.com/en/us/ and see if that makes a difference.

It does not make any difference whether you are a US citizen or not; providing TSA info is mandatory, this is nothing to do with an ESTA. The ESTA link is optional, it is providing the link in case you need to apply, if you don't need one or in the case of non US citizens who already have an ESTA, don't click on the link. But you do need to provide the mandatory passenger info.

Ok, they have all the info needed. Was on hold for 10 mins., but at least it's there!
