Manchester: Victoria Park Hotel

Does anyone know anything about the Victoria Park Hotel at the Manchester airport? Is it decent and quiet enough to get a good night's sleep after a transatlantic flight?

Its a fair way out from the airport not in the best of areas, I would suggest a nearer hotel such as the Britannia Hotel Didsbury rooms are from £47 night or Etrop Grange (£75) which is 5mins away. I think there is also a Hilton & a Raddison Hotel at the Airport too.

Thanks so much - I'm happy to have finally gotten a response!

Yikes! I just read some reviews on the Brittania on Expedia and they are HORRIBLE! Hopefully there is another reasonable, clean, decent place around...

For convenience and a reasonable price, I don't think you can beat either Bewley's, which is actually on the airport complex, or the Heald Green, which has had a couple of good reviews on this forum and is a VERY short taxi ride away.

Thanks, xenos. Is Heald Green and area or a hotel?

It's both - the Heald Green Travel Inn in Heald Green village :-)
