Manchester, England Hotel Help, Please
Hi
A friend of mine will be in Manchester on business next week for two days, I am trying to help him find a hotel. I've tried researching here, but not a lot of information comes up. Requirements: Safe, centrally located (won't have a car) and around 100 pounds/night, maybe a little more. The Hilton Manchester Deansgate gets good reviews on TA. The Midland Hotel gets good reviews, also. Both are listed on Travelocity for just a little more than his budget. Would love to know your thoughts and suggestions. Thanks, Johanna |
The Manchester Malmaison could well fit the bill. It's central and currently has offers on with rooms for £80 a night.
It would probably be more fun than the Hilton as well. |
The Midland is a very nice hotel and well located. Depending on his exact travel dates next week, rooms are showing under budget on booking.com (198GBP, including breakfast)

Malamaison is very nice

Look at aBode Manchester- www.abodehotels.co.uk
My husband stays here on business and rates the restaurant too. |
Thanks everyone for the quick replies. I'll let him know.

In April, I was lucky to win the Manchester Victoria and Albert Hotel on Priceline for a very reasonable rate. We liked the hotel. Check www.biddingfortravel.com to see if it is still coming up regularly and at what rate. It was on the water, a couple of blocks out of the main area, but just a short walk and no problem for us.
We did ask for a room change after the first night, as we were directly above the loading dock and it got very noisy early in the morning. The manager came to our room to give us the new key and apologized profusely. Everyone was always very nice there. |
The Manchester Victoria and Albert is a Marriott.
