Mamma Agata's cooking classes (Ravello, Amalfi Coast)
Hello
Has anyone here taken her cooking class? I am considering doing so when I am there in a few weeks. It looks marvelous!
I'm still waiting to hear back from her if it is truly an all day affair or only an afternoon. I'm not sure I'll have time to take an entire day out for a cooking class as I only have 5 nights/4 days in Positano (the rest being Capri or Naples).
Thanks

From what I understand it is an all-day affair and I have read that it is more demonstration and less hands-on cooking. Based on reviews and the price, I am going to skip Mamma Agata's and take a shorter cooking class at Buca di Bacco in June.

ekc, very good information. I just emailed Buca di Bacco. A two hour class would be more my speed on a short trip like this one. I will wait to see what Mamma Agata has to say when she replies, but this is good to know. Thank you.

I just booked Mamma Agata's cooking class! I hear from most of my friends that it is less cooking and more watching and drinking fabulous wine! Everyone I know who has done it (3 couples) RAVE about it to this day as their best meal in Positano/Ravello! Good luck!

I just heard from Mamma Agata.
Her class starts at 1030 AM. Lunch is at 130 and it's over at 4 PM. That sounds like a lovely day, but even if I could take one day out for a cooking class she is completely booked up that week.
I also heard from Buca di Bacco. Their class is only two hours although I suspect that is just the class part, the meal must start at 530. That leaves most of the day for sightseeing.
