... ooops, and here are the missing #71 to 76 that somehow didn't appear in the post above:
#71 The breath-taking Ta Cenc cliffs on Gozo #72 Gozo cheese, so devine – no longer made from goats milk as the goats destroyed too much of Gozo’s natural habitat, but just as delicious made from sheep’s milk. #73 The eye of Isis decoration on the bows of the local fishing boats brightly painted in the special colours of the local fishing villages. #74 The delicious, meltingly good pastizzi, filled with calories, cholesterol and cheese and totally addictive; the antidote is the Maltese cuizine’s obsession with peas! #75 mama Maria of Marsalforn’s home-made tiramisu. Heavenly! #76 hearing locals speak in their unique Malti language but with any numbers spoken in English So now the next contribution is #80 ;) |

Thanks julia for your 10 with great pics!
Although it's taken almost five years, we are now just 10 off Amy's target of "Malta's 100 Best ..." So who's next to reach the target? |
91. The Grand Master's Palace
92. Pizza down in La Cave, a 16th century cellar (below Hotel Castille.) 93. Memories so profound that even now, more than five years later, I can "feel" Malta just by reading or writing about it. 94. The Auberges of the Crusader Knights 95. Caffe Cordina, for over-the-top...cafe-ness. |
96. Cheesecake at It Tmun
97. Lunch or Dinner at Ta Frenc (try the Market Menu). Open only weekends during low season (fri to sat). 98. Coastal Drive in, E.G. Ramla Bay, Qala. 99. Gesther's for a meal in Xaghra Village 100. Cliffside walk in Xlendi, or walking the cart ruts near Dwejra 101. Dinner at Ta Kris, Sliema 102. Seaside view room with balcony at The Palace, Sliema 103. Getting lost in the Alleyways of Victoria 104. Walking the small streets of Three Cities, particularly Vittoriosa 105. Cake at Fontanella Tea Gardens on the upstairs deck with beautiful views of Central Malta 106. Meeting Charles Vella, organic farmer, outside of Ggantija Temple. He sells items at a great price, much reasonable than other places. Stock up here!!! |
As we prepare to Winter 2013 in Malta, thank you everyone who kept this alive for me to read. Years have passed I hope that it remains the same.
