Malta Restaurants

Hello, I am from Malta but I want to ask you if you can tell me how did you find about good places in Malta, because it is impossible for people to come for a week and find the best places. Thanks in advance!

I've always found the food in Malta VERY hit and miss, the last time I was there in 2005 we dined out 8 times and the best food we found was the Indian restaurant in Bugibba, the other places were quite bad, the food was either over or under cooked or the vegetables/meat were going off. It has definitely put us off going to Malta again.

I agree about the food on Malta and I was there for 12 days. The best I found was Italian food in St. Julians. The other decent meal (not by any means top quality) was on Gozo.

Being so close to Sicily I expected to find good tasting food but I was sorely disappointed.

If you know of any good restaurants you should post them here.

Well this are the probably best restaurants in malta but they can be a bit price.
Zeri's Portomaso
DoBrazil Portomaso
Hugo's Tapas St. Julians
Hugo's Lounge St. Julians
Lulu St. Julians
for pizza: Picolo Padre
I can't think of something but else but there are good choices probably its difficult to go the first time and spot the best palaces although there are some really good ones. I also found this site deal.com.mt a week ago and it gives some offers but I don't know if it is good for tourists also they have now one book with vouchers called Gusto which can be bought and then used with some discounts but I would suggest you best ask at your hotel or see where its full of people there are some nice places at the Valletta Waterfront as well but its not easy to reach. Also I put up this topic because I was curious how would people find about good places when they come here since they don't have time to check everything and have an experience but it turns out to be quite difficult. I also want to go to Bulgaria and want to know how to check there for nice places. If anyone has been soon. Please let me know. Thanks

There is a very good Valletta Restaurant - Rampila Restaurant and Wine Bar. It offers maltese/Mediterranean fusion food which is really good. It is close by to St John's Cavalier. The atmosphere and staff are great. Check it out on www.rampila.com
You must try this one!

Hi, Im Maltese, I find it hard to decide which restaurant to go to especially quality restaurants where they actually give a good service, good food, a nice relaxed atmosphere and good prices. Then I heard about a site www.allmaltaonline.com, I visited the site myself and my choice of a good restaurant helped me a lot, I recommend that you try it out, there are a vast range of restaurants to choose from.

Thanks
Christina
