Dan: whether there would be enough to do depends on what you like to do. My husband and I were there in February 4 years ago and found something different to do every day for almost 2 weeks. I had purchased a guide to Malta before we went and studied it, formulating a tentative itinerary for most of the days, leaving a few open to chance. We stayed in Sliema at The Diplomat which did not have an indoor pool, but one on the rooftop. It was definitely too cool for swimming when we were there, but delightful spring-like weather for walking and sightseeing. We liked the Diplomat, right on the waterfront, great view of the nightly paseo, perhaps 15 minute very scenic walk to St. Julian's and restaurants, 10 minute walk in other direction to ferry to Valletta, and bus stop across the street. Bountiful breakfast buffet each morning. Caveats: many many smokers in the hotel and dining room had at that time no physical divider between non-smoking area and smoking. (No restaurants in Malta did, but you must know that if you've been there). Ask for a room on the front of the hotel if you want a stunning view; the rooms on the side are called "water view" but just have a little angled-out balcony.
Have fun.

Thanks for the input.
Still not sure of there or another trip due to other person getting a visa for there.
I stayed at the hotel near the ferries to Gozo last time.
Was ok but rooms not so great. Price was a little high but i suppose much cheaper than that for Feb. I forget the hotels name though.
Saw alot on the road back that looked good and interesting.
I will check the hotel.
Just thought an indoor pool or covered pool would be nice for some relaxation.
Also they did not have any real health club facilities which would be nice.
Thanks though. I will keep checking and look at the hotel.
Dan

I don't have any input, but we are planning a first trip to Malta the end of February and wonder if we should stay in Valletta (British Hotel?) or in Sliema. We are not beach/swim people but want to see every church or archeological site. Any suggestions on where to stay?
