Hi everyone - my friend and I are planning a one week trip together and Malta came to mind. For those who have been to Malta or reside there, what is the weather really like from mid to late November? I have done some research and know that it probably won't be beach weather and around high teens to low 20s. Is it windy, sunny, rainy or mix of everything??

Is it a decent time to go to Malta in November?

Nearly three-fourths of the total annual rainfall of about 600 millimetres (24 inches) falls between October and March; June, July, and August are normally quite dry."

Friends where there once in November and it snowed, and there was no firewood for the fireplace. Make sure you take a sweater and something to keep you dry should it rain.

I spent some time in Malta in mid-December and found the weather surprisingly pleasant. Cool, light cotton jacket was enough, occasional shower, more drizzle than rain but overall delightful. I'd come from SE Asia so it was especially nice to feel cool, but not cold. I imagine late Nov. will be much the same.

November weather in Malta is just UNPREDICTABLE. Everything is possible.
Beach season will be over, of course, although seawater will not be really cold.

Well I live here. As you might know, weather is unpredictable. I've been to Paris in mid-July and the weather was horrible. Went there a year later in late September and it was perfect.
Anyway, usually in Malta in November, the weather cools down, but not too cold. Usually I would start wearing cardigans and jackets. Right now (mid-October) it is warm. Temperature is still 28 degrees C. I still go out with short sleeves and shorts.
Rain is unpredictable in November. You have to take chances with storms, however, in Malta it rarely rains very heavily. In November you have more chance of rain. Do keep in mind, that in case of medium-heavy rain, Maltese traffic (especially morning) will go bananas. This is because Birkirkara-Msida-Qormi area (traffic area) would be flooded.

It is not beach season, however, it is not unheard of people going to the beach if the weather is good enough, even in December. Any time of year is good to visit Malta. Except for perhaps July-August, if you truly can't handle the heat. April-June are probably the best, as it barely ever rains past May till mid-August.
