Malpensa to Como options
 

What is the best way to get from Malpensa airport to Como? Can we get a bus/train/taxi? Any idea on the fare? Any help would be gratefully received.

It depends on your actual destination on the lake. You would take different transport options depending on where you will be staying.

By train - two ways - take old Malpensa Express that goes to Cordona station and transfer at some station before that for direct trains to Como-Nord station, right by the boat docks for Bellagio

or take the new Malpensa Express to Milan Central station then mainline trains to Como's main train station - about a mile or so from the boat dock

The first route is easier and cheaper - no change of trains in Milano Centrale.

Malpensa to Como:
Board any Saronno bound train (usually every 30 min) and change there to a connecting train to Como Nord.

and those train tickets on the Nord Milano (sp?) commuter train via Saronno are dirt cheap - no reason to buy in advance.
