Malpensa to Bellagio questions
Two years ago, we took the Malpensa -Central Train station-Varenna-Ferry route from the airport to Bellagio. This year, I would like to try Malpensa -Saronno-Como Nord Lago-bus or ferry route. I am having hard time with up-to-date information, and I have a couple of questions. Where is the bus station in relation to the Como Nord Lago train station and where is the ferry dock in relation to Como Nord Lago? Where does the bus stop in Bellagio?

Here is a link to the company that operates the train from Malpensa-Saronno-Como.

The ferry website (currently showing timetables through May 29th).

The bus from Como to Bellagio.

The Como Lago Nord station is just a block from the bus station at Piazza Matteoti and both are a short walk to/from the ferry dock. The bus stop in Bellagio is across a small parking lot from the ferry dock.

Thanks; that helps some. I have been to the lenord.it website, but it doesn't work. The Bellagio website says to take the train route to Como Laghi/Lago. Is that the same as Lago Nord?

If the Bellagio website is talking about how to get from Malpensa to Como, then yes it's Lago Nord. The train from Milan center city arrives at a different station which is a little farther from the ferry dock.
Keep trying the Lenord site. It usually works very smoothly, but as with all things Italian you need patience.

Does a different train company from the regular one operatethe route to Como? Where is it in the airport? I cannot type anything into the lenord site, but I can paste in. Then, though, when I hit "search", it does not go anywhere!

The Lenord company operates the train between Malpensa and Milan's Cadorna Nord station as well as a few other routes in the immediate area. Once you leave the baggage claim area at Malpensa (and perhaps before, I can't remember), there are clear signs directing you to the Malpensa Express train station. (This is not the same as the Malpensa Shuttle bus stop.)
About halfway between Malpensa and Milan is the Saronno stop. When you get to Saronno, you need to change tracks, and the wait for the Como train is 7-20 minutes depending on the time of day.
Since the trip finder function is still not working on the Lenord website, you can go old school and print out the timetables to find the connection. Unfortunately, these pdf files are only in Italian.
