Malpensa Airport area hotels

Any suggestions on hotels near the Milan Malpensa airport? We need one night for 4 people so we can catch a 7 AM flight back to the US. Clean, close to airport and reasonably priced. Will have a rental car.

Hi Golferman

Did you do a search on this forum for Malpensa hotels? They have been discussed often and at length.

We stayed at First Hotel Malpensa and were hugely pleased. You'll come up with several references to this hotel in your search.

Good luck.

We stayed at Villa Malpensa, adjacent to the airport property. Very convenient and it has a wonderful restaurant.

We also stayed at the Villa Malpensa. We loved the room, thought the restaurant was very expensive so drove our rental car into Milan for dinner. The hotel buffet breakfast was very good, and we had plenty of time to return our car at the airport and catch our early morning flight. Good Luck!

We also stayed at First Hotel and they provided a very early shuttle. It is very clean, reasonably priced, and had a surprisingly good restaurant...

We also stayed at First Hotel, and agree with the other comments. They had one of the earliest shuttles I could find, which you will need with a 7am flight. The restaurant served dinner until 10pm, which was handy for us as we didn't arrive there until after 9pm.

We've stayed at the Villa Malpensa also, and we've dined in the hotel restaurant. As mentioned, it's rather expensive but also very good. For us, dinner at the Villa Malpensa has been a nice ending to our time in Italy.

We've also had those 7 a.m. departing flights with the god-awful 5 a.m. check-ins. The V.M. is less than 5 minutes from the terminal, but the hotel shuttle service won't be available that early. We've taken cabs that were booked by the hotel.

If you go to the Malpensa Airport website, there are links to several other nearby hotels.

hotel cervo must have more than one type of room becasue we stayed there and i would hope not to have to be in such a basic place for the price they charged us.

however, the other hotels were so much more expensive.. that we just went for it. but donīt expect much. (we were in the outside motel type rooms in depth of winter).
