Malmesbury, Wiltshire

In the mail awaiting us after our return from France was an invitation to a wedding near Malmesbury. On the basis that we're not shelling out for Whatley Manor )), does anyone have any suggestions for a couple of nights accommodation?

I don't know any right in Malmesbury - but I friends stayed at the Snooty Fox just up the road in tetbury and liked it a lot.

A litle further afield than janisj's suggestion is Hunters Lodge in Minchinhampton just west of Cirencester. We stayed there a few years ago and were extremely satisfied. Here is the web address:

Thanks, both. On another recommendation I've booked the Old Bell Classic, right next to the Abbey.

I was just going to suggest The Old Bell, but I see you've already found it Sheila! Have a great time.
