Mallorca to Madeira
 

We are planning a trip in May 2005 and would like to know if there are any cheap flights between Mallorca and Madeira. I know it is early but I like to do my research well in advance. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Accomodation is confirmed.

As far as I know there are no direct flights between Mallorca and Madeira.
I think you have to go through Madrid or Lisbon.
Price wise it could be a good idea to check with german airlines like Air berlin as both are popular destinations for German tourists.Then use Frankfurt to switch planes.

Any other suggestions? It seems that I will have to buy a $99 flightpass from Barcelona to Lisbon to Funchal.Does anyone know if going by rail would be cheaper?

I'm confused - how can you go from one island to another by rail?

I meant from Barcelona to Lisbon by rail.
