Great city. Good bus tour that starts from the exit of the train station near El Corte Ingles. I love Calle Larios and Calle granada is great for night life.
|
Besides, today is 39ºC in Ronda and 29ºC in Malaga!
|
Thanks, Josele, nice article.
We're headed to Malaga for 2 nights at the end of our trip this winter. The more I read about it, the more baffled I am as to why this city isn't more of a destination. I feel like we'll be just scratching the surface in 2 nights, as it is, there seems to be so much to see. And, the warm temps will be welcome, compared to our usual cold and grey winter here! |
Thanks for posting that article. I hope to visit sometime in the not-too-distant future, perhaps in combination with Granada.
|
NanBug, don't forget to drop me a message when you come.

Me too thanks for the info Josele!

Will do, josele!

Josele recommended the restaurant El Caleño to us and it was a lovely meal. We decided to have the paella there because it was our last chance for the dish and it needed to be good. It was beautiful.....a gentle, mellow and flavorful dish with sweet and absolutely fresh seafood. Outdoor seating on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Josele told us to definitely make reservations which we did and were glad of it. We walked up to get a table (there were several available) and the waiter started to decline our business until we advised him we had reservations (with Josele's name thrown in for good measure) and then we were seated. The tables filled up within a half-hour.
Beautiful lunch with a nice glass of white wine and a stroll next to the sparkling sea. Wow. It was perfect! |
pdx, I was home that afternoon, knew you were at Cohiba (nice place) but would not show up without being invited. Glad you had a good time.

Reason is Malaga airport serves a row of tacky costa resorts, so people confuse Malaga with them - I have even read posters on this forum criticize it as downmarket and tacky. Goes to show even the Fodors forum can give bad advice! Enjoy Malaga! |
Thanks, all of you! I'm looking forward to my visit.
|
I was looking for a website for El Caleño?? Maybe they don't have one?
|
Thanks Josele et al,
My daughter is living in Malaga for the year and we are about to visit in a few weeks. I am very excited. She loves the city. |
I don't think they do, amsdon. But here's a nice photo of our paella!

They do not have a website. Phone is 952299148, and the location is Paseo Maritimo de Pedregalejo, very near (50 mtrs. east) Arroyo de los Pilones.
