I am traveling in Spain, and after 3 days in Cordova, 3 in Granada, I am thinking 3 days in Malaga and then Sevilla. Malaga 3 days too much? I am finding myself there on May 1 which as we all know is a big holiday in Europe. Suggestions and or options??

I don't think it's too much at all. Do you think it is inferior to Cordova or Granada? Enough to do there for several days and it's nice being right on the coast.

I'm not sure, but I think because May 1st is on a Sunday this year, that it is going to be celebrated on Monday in Spain. So I think things are going to be closed Monday rather than Sunday.

Just glad to help, I keep coming back to Malaga all the time. And don't miss out on the Conchas finas, the pride of the Malaga coast. Have them with a sprinkle of lemon and a little pepper, tastes pure sea and heaven. I'll be in Malaga late May and staying a couple minutes from the Picasso Museum. I'll be in town for 2 nights and one full day. For sure I'll see the Picasso Museum the first late afternoon/night I am there. But, if all I have is one full day, what site seeing and culinary suggestions do you have to optimize my precious time?

Hit up the Hammam there. It is very nice.

Just in case....A recommended tour guide or company for a half or full day in Malaga?

My relatives all live in Malaga, and I think 3 days are great. Lots to do if you like the beach, the shopping downtown on Calle Larios is great, the old Moorish castle, on the coastal part nearby is NERJA, not only the beach is great but also the caves are famous,just check the dates and times when open. Additionally, nearby old town Marbella is wonderful. Lots of great places nearby. Ronda is phenomal as well. Have a great time!

I like Nerja but there a handful of Fodorites that like to point our Nerja's raw sewage goes directly into the sea. I am not a beach person anyway so this doesn't bother me.

The more I come to this forum the more I like it...
