I am lovin' all this talk and will definitely pick up one of those immersion heaters for the next trip - bookmarking the Amazon link now.. Frankly, doing w/out that fix is the single worst part of traveling for me. I can't properly function until I've had two cups as black as night and I'd rather have my cuppa before I get dressed or ready - or at odd hours of the day & night. If I'm at home/work, I then continue to refill & reheat a cup all day (with tea as a backup when the coffee pot's dry) until it's time to switch to the evening wine. I know I must be really dehydrated. I get in bed and suddenly realize I'm thirsty -- well, duh!
Ackislander, you do conjure up an amusing image. My DH knows to have the pot made before I walk downstairs and that no one should dare even speak to me until my cup is in hand.
