Make your own Perfume in Provence?

Wondering if there is any place in provence to make your own perfume (under the guidance of someone who knows what they're doing of course). There are places like this in Canada but i was thinking it might be a neat provence experience for my birthday?

Heard of anything like this? Authentic experience or too touristy?

Thanks,
jen

Hi jen, you can at Fragonard in Grasse. I'll look for the website.

Also in Grasse at Galimard.

There are several perfumeries in and near Grasse where you can have a perfume compounded for you. Fragonard is the best known, but once you get to Grasse check in at the tourist office and get directions to the others.

Hi jen,
I'd be interested where you can do that in Canada (Toronto in particular). Seems like it would be a nice birthday gift to give someone.
Thanks

Thanks for the suggestions in Grasse. I think it will be too long of a journey as a day trip however from the Ventoux area. I'll mappy it to see.

There is a "make your own perfume" shop in Toronto. I've walked by it before - either on yonge (eglinton area) or queen west west. I will try to remember and find it for you.

Thanks, jen, I'd appreciate it.

Sorry you won't be going to Grasse but anyway, it was simply info.for you. I buy my fragrances in Lourmarin at the Cote Bastide, all natural products in a boutique that is unique

Cigalechanta,

Thank you very much! I love the Lourmarin market so perhaps I'll try to combine the two!

Won't Sephora blend?

Grasse would certainly be a loong day trip from the Mont Ventoux area, probably not a good idea unless there are other things you'd want to see in the area.
