My passport expires in two months and I'm going to Europe next month for two weeks, can I wait until I return to renew?

-- My six ounce bottle of moisturizer is half gone, so it's only three ounces, will it pass security?

StCirq Dec 31st, 2007 11:16 AM

DH and I are retiring next year and want to go live in Europe for a few years. We've never been there but we've been looking at books and the internet and getting very excited about it. What country do you all think we should move to?

Margo_Chester Dec 31st, 2007 11:29 AM

If we took away all these questions, there would be very little left here!

And let's not forget the people who seem to make it a lifelong goal of trying to be a first responder to answer every question on ______. Apparently there is some type of prize given for this.

fun thread GSteed, thanks for starting it

"Has anyone ever been to xxx?"

That always makes me laugh as I'm pretty sure SOMEone has been pretty much everywhere.

I have been backpacking around Europe for a couple of months, and want to stay here for the rest of the year. I learned yesterday that my visa only lets me spend 90 days in 'Schengen' (whatever that is!)
1* Can I leave 'Schengen' for a couple of days and then re-enter for another 90?
2* If I stay longer than 90 days, what will happen to me?
3* How can I get an extension of my visa while I remain in Europe? (Don't tell me it can't be done, because that will make me really angry, and force me to ask lots more dopey questions!)

robjame Dec 31st, 2007 01:36 PM

This is our first time to Paris. Can anyone recommend a place for good American breakfasts?
Where are the nearest Starbucks? and McDonalds?
We aren't pickey eaters but hubby will only eat beef, Idaho beef. Any great steakhouses in Paris for a huge porterhouse?
BTW - where is the Holiday Inn Eiffel Tower?

SeaUrchin Dec 31st, 2007 01:43 PM
