Fabulous Finale!!! Adds to our dilemma for our next European venture: France? Italy? now, Spain? And. . .it gives us motivation to keep plugging away on our Central Europe TR!

Thanks for a great TR!

Thanks for another great report. Also, thanks for the info on tickets for Barcelona. I'm there now, and had Casa Battlo almost to myself, going in on a Fast Path ticket at 9:00. The line still wasn't too bad when I left a bit after 10:00, but had picked up by 11:00. Less famous sights don't seem too crowded - the National Museum of Catslan Art yesterday wasn't too bad, and I got a ticket for the 11:00 English tour of Casa Lleo Morera at 10:30 (only a dozen people). The Gothic quarter and the cathedral seemed packed, though, and so was the Ramblas when I took a quick look. Will probably skip it this time, I figure it's all tourists looking at other tourists.

Note to people thinking of visiting Spain who are in their early 60s. You can save a lot of money by waiting until you're over 65. The national museums all seem to be free, and most of the others have discounts. I got into the Catalan Art museum yesterday free, although I spent the 12 euro savings and then some on lunch in their top floor restaurant, so they did OK.

A majestic trip report from a fabulous country. And here is the finest flamenco dancer on the planet in the Reina Sofía museum on YouTube ;-) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b1rdAnrXbKQ

I missed The Museo Cerralbo—yet another WOW for Spain. Add my bravos to your TR, Tom. And add my total agreement about the kindness one finds in Spain.

Looking forward to another TR from the maitaitoms!

Thanks for the nice comments and thanks for the YouTube Kimhe...next trip flamenco!

One more thing...in Barcelona and Madrid, it was pretty inexpensive to get around by taxi when our feet gave out. Of course I'm used to Los Angeles prices where cabs are the biggest ripoff on the planet.

Tom, I await your trips with almost as much anticipation as my own. And you are definitely a better scribe. Loved the photos. Granada at night - spectacular.

"Where are you going next???"

Next trip NYC...then if all goes well Burgundy, Provence, Languedoc with a touch of Paris at the end to see a couple of things we missed on our "ill"-fated 2014 trip.

Maitaitom, this is an addendum to our abbreviated comments above.

We appreciate all the wonderful detail you included in your travels in Spain. And, it can't be said enough, just how wonderfully you weave your pix in with your humor-filled narrative!!! Your TR give us that deja vu feeling from our trip to Spain in pre-digital camera days, when we didn't take that many photos.

We hear you about seeing a flamenco dance on YouTube! Time just doesn't permit squeezing in everything! We felt that way about a Salt Mine tour. YouTube to the rescue!

We liked your trip synopsis of cities visited, and your "Elevator List".

Most of all, we just want to say "Thanks" for all the energy and time you spent sharing your experiences in wonderful Spain. You guys could head up the Espana Tourist Board!

So glad that this trip proved to be a "healthy" one for you! Oh yes, noticed that you had another "Nurse Rached" experience!

We read your comment above that your next trip is NYC. Interesting that it's also ours. . .the first week-end of December. It's hard to beat Manhattan for holiday festivities! When are you guys going?

I just finished this marvelous report and took copious notes for our visit to Spain this October. A great report, as usual!

Hello from Paul and please say hi to Tracy.
