Main train station to Venice Airport
Hello!
I will be staying in a hotel located right next to the main train station in Venice (the one on the mainland) and was wondering what was the easiest way to get to Marco Polo/the cheapest way. I will be travelling on a Tuesday, and have a flight at 11:30 AM. Thanks! |
buses run every 30 mins Mon-Sat every hour Suns, holidays from the train station area to the airport - 12 km buses take 20 mins - probably leave from the Pzle Roma quite near the station - the road access to Venice comes in here and there is a bus station of sorts.

Pal - There's a bus directly from Mestre. No need to go to Piazzale Roma ...
Darling - If you're staying near the mainland station (- Mestre) it couldn't be easier - the Airport Shuttle bus leaves from next to the station. Fare: €2.50 in advance. For timetable see: http://www.atvo.it/orari/pdf_airport/mpmestrefs.pdf For an 11.30 departure you would want to catch the 09.00 bus, I think ... Hope this helps ... Steve |
How wonderful you have a 11:30am flight! All our flights from Venice have always been at some ridiculous time of the morning wake up at 4:30 - 5am sigh!

One more question...I am flying with EasyJet and they want me to check in by 9:40. What time should I get to the airport to be in the line to check in? Is it usually long? What time does the desk open? Thanks so much!
